Days End Brogers Creek – Kangaroo Valley by Suzy Strout

The last rays of sunset behind the trees on the far bank of the creek made jewel-like reflections in the smooth surface of the water. To recreate the sun through the foliage and the shadows in the water, I used cold wax & oil, layering the colours. I gained the different textures and rays of colour by scraping into the surface, using both wiping and scumbling techniques.
